We’ve been getting a few messages that the start times weren’t super clear. We kick off at 7:15 PM on both Friday and Saturday. But no stress: you can always slip in later, even after the surprises ;-)
You’ll miss a bit though! Check here for more info about the (non-existent) timetable and end times.

Lazy Listeners is a new festival that brings you stories that do not behave. Stories that drip with sweat, that move, stories that pull you in, push you out and roll you up. December 5th and 6th we take over Area51 skatepark, twist it into something else - secret stages, stages in the air and stages with teeth. Here, Literature isn’t quiet or polite, it’s a giant furry beast staring back at you. Come and look into the living breathing mouth of literature, check its back teeth out, dance your ass off. But leave your phone at home, we only ask your attention.

Elmer

SAT

Elmer is a live wire. A collision of rigor and chaos, instinct and craft. She slips between disciplines like it’s nothing, snatching whatever feeds her vision, and the mastery in this is palpable. On Lazy Listeners she performs her legendary live show Skipper for the last time!

Lucky Fonz III

FRI

Lucky Fonz III steps on stage and everything shifts. He’s brilliant, funny, achingly human, and completely unpredictable. These songs of his make you laugh, cry, and dance all at once.

Rico

SAT

Rico steps on stage and will lead you into a musical presentation of his biography Mijn eigen wereld, (My Own World), a story with guts and a pulse. Rising, recovering, and most importantly is to never stop rapping.

Donny Ronny

SAT

Donny Ronny (once known as Stefano Keizers) is our festival wildcard, because we came to him with only one question: Can you bring this vision together? Be our red thread.

Roos Rebergen & SunSunSun Orchestra

SAT

Roos Rebergen commands the stage, strings weaving around her, and everything familiar twists into something new. Her songs are cast a different light with the SunSunSun Orchestra.

Ismaîl Mamo

SAT

With his debut Mam, ik ben geen crisis (Mom, I’m Not a Crisis), Ismaîl Mamo made a powerful entrance into the Dutch literary scene last year, quickly becoming one of its most distinctive new voices.

Joost Oomen + Kruidkoek

FRI

It’s absurd. It’s chaotic. It’s brilliant. Poetry can be a riot, especially when Joost Oomen hits the stage with garage-jazz band Kruidkoek.

Porcelain Id

FRI

Porcelain Id sounds like what would happen if Blood Orange and David Bowie started a band. Folk? Check. Soul? Check. Lo-fi electronics? Also check. Fortunately, Hubert Tuyishime’s alter ego (they/them) needs only one thing: that incredible voice, both fragile and razor-sharp.

With the stickiest of stories told by the best of tellers; from here and far away. We have invited literary performers who blur every line

Expect writers who sing, musicians who tell stories, theatre makers who smash words open, comedians that refuse to be put in a corner.

Our location is part of what makes this festival extraordinary- Area 51, Eindhoven Skatepark. This location offers us the unique opportunity to build an inclusive, immersive festival location where you get to drip in the atmosphere.
