Elvis de Launay
Her performances are a bit like love letters: romantic, bold, and sometimes so sharp it takes your breath away. Emerging artist Elvis de Launay graduated last year from the Arnhem Theatre School and creates work where language always takes center stage.

With Cowboy och Meisje, she opens a dreamlike world designed to help make sense of harsh reality. A monologue about cowboys, girls, love, Death with a capital D, Fear with a capital F, Ronnie Flex, Cher, Diet Coke, sad Swedish children, strings, Vaslav Nijinsky, Orpheus, vanishing tricks, and Bambi.
“Three-quarters of an hour, and you hang on her every word, charmed by the talented De Launay, whom you almost want to hug afterward,” wrote de Volkskrant. Honestly, we couldn’t put it any better ourselves.
